LISTEN TO YOUR HEART
What might work for someone else, may not work for you. Only those in a marriage can judge it. There is no ‘happiness touchstones’ upon which to measure yourself – so listen to your heart and nobody else.
HONESTY AND TRUST
Honesty is indeed the best policy; apply it in your marriage also. After all you are part of each other, and you live for each other. Absolute truthfulness may sound like a shocking idea to most people, but being truthful is important because it helps you strengthen the bond.
GOOD SEX
The sex life, you both should enjoy, rather than being satisfactory to only one. And do repeat it as often as you can. But don’t let it become a routine thing. Bring in some innovation each time you are with each other. A bit of foreplay and new ideas of performing act may take you to the next level of satisfaction.
(Here is something which I found very useful in increasing the sex desire, useful for both the partners. Do give it a try if you feel your libido and interest towards sex has taken a “U turn”, or may be if you want to add a little spark in your sex life.)

FRIENDSHIP AND LOYALTY
A happy marriage is made up of little things, the details which brick in your love. Friendship forms a very important part. This is because it gets the comfort factor into your relationship, which is very essential. When friendship and marriage go hand in hand, it is indeed the best experience of your life.
DEMAND LESS
Relationships are more about giving than just receiving. It’s a destiny to have a spouse who doesn’t have the kind of patience you expect him/her to have. There comes the compromising factor. Be vocal about what you feel but don’t put your partner in a spot of bother.
To sum up, with a little more efforts and commitments, you can actually make your marriage a wonderful experience, and can set an example for others to believe that Marriages are really made in Heaven!
